Yes, i did Optifast a few years for several months,, lost 35 lbs. Only problem is I couldn't make this plan into a lifetime commitment, and it became to expensive buying my food seperatly from my family, So I ended up gaining everything back plus some. It may work if you live alone and no need to buy food for anyone else, and the delivery is convienent so no need to go to the store as often.
I just started Optifast 70 last week. I'm doing ok, except I'm traveling for work, so it's a bit more difficult. I'm supposed to have 5 shakes a day, but yesterday I had 2 shakes, and then I had dinner with some work associates. I didn't make the best choices, but I'm back on track today. I will make better choices tonight with grilled chicken over lettuce and FF dressing. : )
I'm excited to be doing this plan. I like the fact that I get to work with a doctor and nutritionist during this journey. I have gained 82 lbs. over the past 12 years. I took 20 lbs. off with Jenny Craig Jan-March of this year. I kept it off, and now I'm ready to take another 70 lbs. off! The shakes actually gave me an energy boost. I wrote down exactly what I ate 24 hours before I started the program, and....man....I was eating like crap! I can't believe my body didn't collapse from not getting the nutrition it needs! The 1 thing that I implemented back in January of this year that I'm still sticking to is giving up fast food. I have not had a fast food burger since January 18th! : ) I do occassionally go through the drive-thru to get my Diet Coke, but I have no more cravings for the greasy hamburger or breakfast sandwiches! I plan to stick to that for the rest of my life. : )

I'm starting this plan too and am so excited to find others doing it too. I know the group meeting last week was interesting and supportive but it is great to find someone else doing this!

Hi there! Yes I'm on Optifast 900 and I'm doing okay. It is hard work, like all weigh loss programs are, and it is paying off for me. I noticed that the program seemed to be medically supervised globally, however the program details differ by Country. I'm in Canada and my doc has me on 900 cal/day.
