Start slowly. Pick a few things to really concentrate on at first and really get them to be a habit. Then add more. It may take more time, but you'll be less likely to give up.
I think it's great that you've decided to use the message boards. The place is full of people who are in the same boat and also people who have been through it and succeeded. Both types of people are very valuable to have around!
You can do this. Never give up. Ask questions, give and seek support, and let us know how your journey goes!

Welcome! I second the suggestion to join spark teams- once you find the right one(s) they can really keep you going!

I am starting SPARK (again) today. I have many times in the past but this is the first time I have ventured out to the message board, hoping that some outside encouragement will keep me on track. I have been fighting the weight for 40 plus years, tried every diet and gimmick in the book. I am 50 # lighter then I was 5 years ago but I need to lose another 50 and have been up and down 10# for the last year or two. Any help would be appreciated. TIA
