I have not used this but now I think I have to! I am wracking my brain trying to think of a recipe I know from heart just so I can try it :) Thanks for the info!

That's a terrific, very valuable application, Barb (and BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!!! on that prodigious weight loss!!!) emoticon

You can see how many calories one can save, say, by using apple sauce in a carrot cake recipe rather than oil... It's amazing sometimes to see the differences!

It's tremendously helpful not only for tracking (which is essential) but also for planning improvements to recipes I've used forever but which need slimming down themselves.. I can juggle ingredients and substitutes and see what might work best.

Glad to hear it, Michelle! Using some very similar software I had prior to Spark, I figured out what one brownie of my mom's unforgettable old made-from-scratch brownies had, counting 16 from an 8" pan. It came to 129 - nice to know for that rare occasion when I've just "gotta" have one of those treats!

As long as I "bite it when I write it," I can have it...and therein lies one of the many beauties of this sort of tracking.

I love the recipe calculator. Especially for repeating a recipe I've made that I loved and knowing that the nutrition stats are accurate.

You're welcome. Tracking is the single best tool I know to ensure success...and tracking food intake has been the most important of all factors to me.

If, like me, you like to make up your own recipes and want to track their calories with perfect accuracy, Spark's got a fabulous tool for that...

Thought I'd share... tracking's been an important element for me in my own weight loss and maintenance, maybe the most crucial of all of them.
