You can actually save yourself some money in a pinch by stopping in a supermarket. They pack lunches for people these days and some of them are quite healthy.

I also had a job that kept me on the road for many hours during the day. It was so easy to "stop" for a quick lunch. To solve the problem, I packed hard cooked eggs, celery and peanut better, diet jello, nuts and fruit. When the weather was nice, I would stop at a park and give myself a break with my healthy picnic. Even when it was cool, being in my car with good music made me happy. It enpowered me to know I was doing the right thing.
If you have a Coleman lunch size cooler in the car it's realatively easy...they are called FlipLid Personal Coolers and come in red and blue about $12.00...and pair with a "Chillers Lunch Pack Ice Substitute" . Keeps things cold most of the day. I also bought a hot thermos for homemade soup and chili. Other than that you could pack fruit, almonds, walnuts, hard boiled eggs, popcorn, graham crackers, baggie of cheerios, peanut butter and jelly...just some ideas....

Good Morning Everyone! Any ideas for someone "on the road" a lot? Most days I can have a good breakfast at home, see a patient/client/student and either stop for a healthy lunch or get home, go to the gym and end my day with a nice dinner and relaxing. But, there are many days each month where I leave the house with no ideas as to what to pack for the day that will be interesting, tasty and not feel "inclined" to stop at Burger King, Wendy's where I know that those fries will make it into my mouth...which kicks off the cravings and insanity sets in.
