It's hard at first, but try not to get discouraged. When i lost all my weight the fist time, i got up everyday worked out 2 hours, took a nap with my baby girls and worked out 2 more hours at night. When i was tired or didn't wanna go, i forced myself to get up, and it paid off. we all have to start somewhere. :) don't give up

I'm a fellow water retaining creature and that's exactly the reason why I don't weigh myself. If I did it would be an emotional roller-coaster everyday minus the fun part.

I like to go by clothes instead. Right now I have a pair of old jeans that I know I'm close to fitting into. Once I could get them on without shoving my butt into them then I will weigh myself :D

Don't be upset! There could be any number of reasons for those 2lbs. Even if you just weighed yourself after breakfast or later in the day, I've found that my weight fluctuates a lot from morning to evening. I always weight myself first thing on my weigh-in days. Just stick to it and the weight will start to disappear! Also, I'm glad to see another Ravens fan on here!

You have the facts right and the right attitude!!!! I can relate.

I'm down to my last 20 pounds, so combined with hypothyroid matters (despite medication) that cause me to lose weight very slowly anyway, I try to remind myself that it took me years to put on the weight and it won't come off in a few weeks.

You are TOTALLY RIGHT about this being a distance run and not the 50-yard dash!!!!

Keep that attitude and you'll be where you want to be when the time is right!!! Good luck!

I'm trying to let this slide- but-
even tho today is not my weigh in day, I couldn't resist getting on the scale this a.m. BAD IDEA! It showed I was 175!!! almost 2 lbs over what I was 2 days ago.
So I'm trying to talk my self out of being upset. A good opportunity to remind my self to pay attention to the facts of my wt loss journey, not let my emotions rule. FACT: Prob once a week is enough to weigh yourself . FACT- your weight can flucuate a bit from day to day which is normal. ( Of course if any one knows I have the facts wrong, please tell me.)
FACT- Weight loss takes patience, and I am in this for the distance running, not a 50 yard dash!
