Thank you. No incontinence and I have a peripheral artery (lower extremities) test set up for Thursday and a CT scan for next Wednesday. Just wondered if anyone else had had this sudden onset. I will post when I have answers (even if just to calm my own fears!) Thank you again for the support!

Yes I have experienced this, and you need to see your Dr. and IF it is associated with any incontinence it is a medical emergency for urgent, right now!.
Sorry this is happening--I understand you must be scared. However, your overall health is the primary priority. Because of your health condition, it wouldn't be appropriate to seek advice from another SP member or an SP expert. Blood circulation was mentioned as a possible solution, but remember that many other causes are also possible (not to mention that there could be many reasons for circulation problems). Please consult your medical team about any concerns you have.

If your doctor doesn't seem to have an answer, then they may have to refer you to a specialist. Because no one here on Spark knows anything about you or your medical history, we're not qualified to answer your question.
I did a quick google search and found that lower body numbness could be a sign of lack of proper blood circulation. Is this your problem ? We don't know. That's one possible answer, but doesn't mean it is the answer. Thus the reason you should talk to a specialist. You're going to have to wait for the results from your CT scan and blood work. that will give your doctor more clues as to what is going on.
Mostly, you're going to have to sit tight for the time being. try not to worry. You've been doing great so far ! don't think of this as a roadblock. think of this as a very minor detour.

One week ago my whole lower body went numb. I can still function and have been continuing to exercise although not as strenuously. I have little feeling from my hip joints down. I can barely feel my feet in my running shoes. I am diabetic and know about peripheral neuropathy but this came on suddenly. My doctor says it is a puzzle and is sending me for tests CT scan and blood work. Maybe a herniated disk or some other back problem? I have heard of people having this after losing a large amount of weight in a short amount of time but it has taken me over a year to lose 50 pounds. Needless to say I am scared and do not want a setback-I have come so far and don't want to lose this battle.
