Nov 12 2011 is my goal for a different reason - It's my birthday! My wedding isn't until this coming March! The thing that's helped me most in this whole weightloss thing (and I've come pretty far) has been tracking! It has really helped me know exactly what I'm doing and make the right choices - and I'm never hungry because I eat tonnes of low cal fruit and veg and I know I've had all the nutrients I need! My problem at the moment is trying to increase my intake as I move from weight loss to maintainence. So if you are doing the exercise then tracking what you eat and staying in your ranges should really boost you towards your goal!

I have been struggling with my weight my entire life, and the only thing I do know for sure is that there is no quick fix. It is a lifelong journey of ups and downs. I try not to be too hard on myself when I mess up, but I just have to remember what my goal is and really work toward it.
I don't want to look back at my wedding pictures and thing "yuck, I really wish I had lost that weight!" But even with that thought in the back of my mind, it is a daily challenge.
Good luck and hang in there!

You cannot out-train a bad diet. You really need to make better food choice, as weight loss is 80% nutrition.

Are there any other November 12th brides or grooms out there who are trying to slim down for their wedding?
I have been on and off of Sparkpeople for the last couple of years. I love all the resources, tips, and community, but what I like the most is that it is all free!
I have been working for the last few months to drop a few extra pounds before my wedding. I am on week 9 of P90X, and I love it, but it makes me so hungry. Unfortunately, I have not been making good food choices, so I have not seen a huge move on the scale. I have lost about 3 inches, but I would really like to see my weight go down about 10 lbs also.
So, that is my short-term goal for being here. I would like to lost 10 lbs in slightly less than 7 weeks before my wedding and then maintain that and continue to lose about 15-20 more over the next 6-9 months. Anyone else sort of down to the wire and working on getting that last little bit off? I would love to hear from you!
