This thread came at the perfect time. I have strayed from my journey over the past few months and today, I had to get real with myself (probably because I weighed myself and it came as a shock). But, this thread reminded me that today is a new day and an opportunity to get back on track. Thank you!

good for you for getting back to a healthy lifestyle. Its easy to give up. You will work harder but feel more accomplished if you work at it. I know I sleep better at night when I've put in a hard day's work. Congrats.

I recently moved across the country. So I have been off SP for about 2 months. I know that I have gained some weight. The last time I checked it was 7 pounds. I am feeling encouraged about this time in my life. I have love and support, it helps me to feel like I can accomplish anything. My mindset has also changed. Instead of feeling negative about the pounds that I gained. I decided not to look at the scale but work the same successful plan that I had done before. I measure my success by how well I fit in my clothes and how much energy I have throughout the day. I know now what triggers my weight gain and can make decisions to do something about it without putting myself down. I think that is growth and maturity. I feel like it will help me be successful going forward. My words of encouragement to anyone in this struggle is this: Know that diligent practice makes progress and after a while you will be able to see your inward successes if you do not give up. Get back up again, stay focused in the journey. Falling into the temptation of your old habits may seem discouraging but if you can recognize your mistake a make sold decisions of change then you are half way there. Be open and vocal about your struggles and never be afraid to ask for support. Take Care my Spark Peeps!!!
