Hi, I'm Vickie and I had resigned to being overweight until I found out I had diabetes (type 2). Something about those words triggered something in my head and I started cutting out foods that I thought would make me have a high reading, then I noticed I was losing weight.......YEA!!!! I've lost 54 pounds since April 2012 and look to lose that much this year (or more) My sugar levels have dropped to well within range (still on the meds right now though) and my LDL is down to 95 (was 118)....Blood Pressure is better too! This year, I've began a new program of losing fat that I have personally seen great results with some of my friends, so, I'll be posting from time to time to let you know how it's going. I pray each of you have success in what you're trying to accomplish here on SparkPeople. I know that tracking what I eat everyday has been the most beneficial to me and I LOVE seeing how the line on my weight loss keeps getting lower and lower. It's a great feeling knowing that I'm taking my life back.
