I didn't think inches would be a motivator for me, but recently, they're the only thing keeping me holding on. Odd since I'm doing this to get smaller, you'd think that the primary motivator would be size, wouldn't you?
Anyway, once I finally measured myself a few weeks ago, then measured myself again on the weekend, I discovered I'd lost over 3" without the scale budging a bit.
I anticipate the scale will start moving soon because I can't possibly read a healthy size while remaining at 240 lbs.

Hang in there! I found myself on an 8-week plateau and then finally it just seemed to break and I started losing again. I guess the human body is just funny that way. Keep up all the good work and you will see results eventually!

Thanks for writing. I am on the SP Diabetic Diet so there is not a lot of wiggle room on food. I can not eat fish or tree-nuts. Almonds are okay in small amounts and pecans in minute amounts once or twice a week. Yes, a week ago today I started water walking for 55 mins. three times a week so am hoping that helps. Inches, maybe, my feet are not as wide and I really must get some new bras. Most things are looser and my arms must have shrunk some cause my upper arms aren't as heavy. Inches has never been a motivator for me so I did not measure when I started. However, after six extremely faithful months to diet, I am getting discouraged. If I go out for a meal I am by no means perfect but get right back on my plan the next meal. Lynne
Have you lost any inches? I'm only asking because that can happen as well, weight doesn't come off, but inches do.
Have you changed up your workout routine? Your body does get very efficient, and even if you add the same routine, your body will burn less calories, because the routine has become easier for it. Sometimes I eat at the very high end of my calories for a day or two, then down at the low end. Also, change up the foods you are eating, sometimes that helps too!

Help. I have been at the same weight for the last 8 weeks. I know one plateaus now on then but this is getting old. I have increased my exercise, even tried eating a bit more but staying well within my range. I also make sure that I get my 8 glasses of water in every day. What can I do? Lynne
