Wow, we all have our ups and downs. Not a good day for me either. Lots of death and sickness in my family. Good thing we're on this site. Let's just hang in there and be here for one another.

I too Lost my father and sister within 5 years, it has never been easy even after all these years.
But remember that they loved you and by taking good care of yourself you are honoring them. I also agree you have your partner and friends and yes SP friends too we all care so you are not alone.
For me remembering them and all the good memories I have keep the hurt and sadness down some but the loss well its always there, hang in there and keep strong, that is what they would want you to do.

So sorry for your loss.

Sometimes, when I don't feel like doing the early AM run / walk, I will do it anyway as a dedication to someone I've lost who obviously can't run for his/herself.
Kind of like doing it in their honor.

You could always make a special meal and raise a glass to toast this person.

Or do a good deed in that person's honor.

Kind of helps take some of that sadness and turn a bit of it into gladness.

I started a weight loss challenge today and 5 of us were supposed to participate. Turns out I'm the only one who stuck to it. Feeling proud of myself but at the same time betrayed... sort of... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your mother and brother, but you do have family. You have your partner and your friends. They are you're loved ones too. I agree that taking a walk will
help you feel a bit better.

I lost my mum 3 years ago and my brother 5 years ago, on Monday, I do not have any other family, so feel very down, although I do have a wonderful partner. Feel sad and my sadness makes me want to turn to food. Any ideas how to stop
