This is a great place to get healthy! There are so many tools, resources, and encouraging people to help you on your journey to "Health & Fitness". Be sure to poke around the site and try the nutrition and fitness trackers, Spark Recipes, Daily Spark, health articles, and secrets.
Joining a team will help you meet like-minded people that share similar life situations or goals. Be sure to read member blogs as there is a wealth of information there. You can start with one of mine on "fighting the fire":
Good going having your blood pressure going down! Keep at it! You will see results in time! The nutrition tracker is the most important tool on SP-if you aren't using it already. Walking is my favorite exercise-it will help the achy joints, believe me! I have osteoarthritis and it has greatly improved my mobility over the past 2 years! Also, many great videos here to follow. Never give up, even when you encounter bumps in the road. It has to be a lifestyle change, something you can live with for the rest of your life.

You might not notice weight loss yet, but I think it's great that your blood pressure is improving and you are feeling better. Don't worry you'll get there.

To all those out there who don't see results - don't give up. You may be achieving good things that aren't that obvious.
I rejoined SparkPeople approx 2 months ago and have really been trying to keep up with exercise and nutrition goals - often falling off of the wagon. My only family consists of 3 pets and if I don't get healthy they could end up homeless.
Each week I stepped on the (same) scale and was disappointed to see that my weight did not change.
There are signs of hope though... The doctor noted that my blood pressure is down. Also, my joints still hurt (a lot) but I'm able to move around a bit better and that helps me take care of my "fur family" better.
