Thank you for the message!! I appreciate your thoughts and encouragements. I must say that I'm not too keen on my "jigglybits" . (My last boyfriend was though). I will do my best to scare the devil!! I pray at some point I too can be an encourager. Lots of changes for me in the last 8 years and I was overwhelmed physicall and emotionally. But no excuses it's time to get down to business. I'm pledging to do my best and more. Take care!! emoticon

Hi! Thank you soooo much for the encouragement and suggestions. It's exactly why I joined this site. Making goals is an excellent idea. I have a tendency not to do that because if I don't make them I feel defeated. I need to challenge myself. I WILL make goals for this month. I will also work on a SPARKPAGE. I'm not too good with the computer but I'll try to be creative. Thank you again! Spark-On!! emoticon

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.

A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.

2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Hi to everyone. I'm looking forward to working positively on my health. I was told by several Dr's to check in to weigh loss surgery because of my diseases caused by my obesity. I checked into it a few years ago and wasn't comfortable. I again checked into it today and I'm praying about it and what to do. I know that I can lose weight, I've done it before many times in my life but always gain it back and sometimes more. When I was young it was about how I looked, in some ways it still is but mainly about my health. I want to be around for a lot longer to enjoy my family and friends. I have to keep the right "mindset". Does anyome know what I mean? I'm a binger and not sure how to control that. Any suggestions? I'm open. I look forward to positive input and suggestions. Here we go!!! emoticon
