I'd love to buddy up. Not sure how to add people as SparkFriends though. I congratulate you on going 98 days without binge/compulsive eating. That's awesome! Every day is an internal struggle so when you're feeling the urge to binge think of how far you've come and find something else to preoccupy your mind.

Thanks for the tips! Do you know if there is a way to barcode the food and drinks I consume in the nutrition tracker? I have MyFitnessPal app on my phone and find it really convenient and accurate to barcode so I don't have to manually search and it gathers all the nutrition info on the label.
I stuggle with compulsive/binge eating HARD CORE and trying not to but it's getting hard and I need friends also stuggling.I want to breakdown and binge but also know I will hate myself if I do.please writeme if you wantto buddy up.

The site can be overwhelming, take your time. Learn one topic at a time, when you get comfortable with it, move on to another area of the site. Soon you will be using all the tools SP has to offer, and loving it!

Use your Spark Points (click on view SparkPoints) as a map to the site. It is a good way to learn your way around and you can earn points to send yourself or others Sparkgoodies.
Go back to your Start Page if you get lost, you can get almost anywhere from there.
Be sure to use the nutrition tracker. You can ensure you are getting the proper nutrients as well as tracking your caloric intake and this is so important to any weight loss journey. Never "diet" again! Keep focusing on living a healthier lifestyle!

I had plantar fascitis for over a year... not fun... Hope you are not in too much pain. Great job joining the YMCA. Yes, don't do too much, too fast. Great to have people to work out with you, another way to stay accountable.

Hello, my name is Debra, I'm a 42 year old single mother of two who wants to lose 40 lbs and gain a healthier lifestyle so I joined SP to find help in achieving those goals. Over the past 5 years my weight has steadily increased. During that time I got divorce, earned my bachelor degree and took part in a major software upgrade at work. Needless to say, I had a lot of stress in my life, ate poorly and didn't exercise which resulted in the weight gain.
I started the C25K two weeks ago but my plantar fasciitis is acting up again so I may need to put that on hold for a bit. I'm not athletically inclined so never learned the proper way to stretch, warm up or work out so think I'm overdoing it or starting out too fast. I joined the YMCA and have two co-workers that go there sporadically but I'm hoping we can motivate each other and make it fun.
I signed up for SparkCoach last night in hopes that I can learn to eat and exercise in a healthy way in a slow and steady fashion. Looking forward to exploring what SP has to offer.
