You are smart to get this under control for your health and as a good example of kicking the sugar addiction. For the kids usually fruit will get them healthy eating and ice water. It is easier to do that in the summer months. I was 225 when I found the spark book, I joined with an old PC and I had never used one.
I am 70 now and I am diabetic. It is no fun and dire consequences if you cannot keep it in control. Take care. If there is any blood sugar issues you might need to use the diabetic tracker. There is so much in there to educate yourself. If it is in the family , do try to get the kids eating and drinking healthier. Thanks to Spark people I am off my diabetic medication.

Hi peeps - I have an addiction to food - so it seems it want it to stop and I know it won't without me stopping it. I have joined this site out of desperation - I am realy not to overweight - 35 pounds. But I fear that the weight is slowly going on and I could end up abusive or diabetic. This is what I am trying to achieve - self control. I have two kids that I need to save from pop and sugar too.
