WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Hello Christine, it's nice to meet you. I see you already received the link to the corresponding team on this 'introduce yourself" thread. I think you will get great benefits out of joining this site and team. There is so much to do here and so many great resources, they make it very hard to be in a bad mood and sulk over weight. I am rooting for you!!!

Just wanted to introduce myself- I've only been out on the board a handful of days. I am a bariatric surgery patient, not quite 3 years post-op. Although I've lost a significant amount of weight, I've recently had some complications, and my surgeon is pulling me back to a more structured eating plan while I recover so as not to experience a lot of weight regain. This site is a great place to help me keep my weight in balance in the short term, and to get back on the downward trend in the future.
I live in Central Florida...my main interests are knitting, reading, Zumba, and Sweet Adelines (women's barbershop singing). I'd welcome making new friends on SparkPeople, particularly others who are on the bariatric surgery journey.
