Hi Dawn, its Friday and time to step on those scales. I hope you did well. I lost 2 lbs last week by staying on track, drinking lots of water and walking 15-30 min. a day.
Let us know how you did, whether good or not so good. We are here to support and encourage you. Here's hoping all has gone well for you this week. Waiting to hear from you..

Hi Dawn! Welcome to SparkPeople!

I'd love to be your buddy! I'm 31 and have 2 kids under 2. I've been on this site for several years but have been away for a long time while I was having my babies. I'm looking to meet some new friends here because it makes weight loss so much easier, and so much more fun.

Don't get overwhelmed by this site (I found it daunting at first). You will get the hang of it in no time. I found the easiest way to learn what's here is to try and collect SparkPoints. You will see all the different things that earn points.

hi Dawn, just wanted to drop you a quick note and see how you are doing with your tracking. I know you can reach your goal by your wedding if you stay true to the plan. Track daily, with no cheating...if it goes in your mouth it goes in the computer...
When in October is your wedding? If its around the middle of the month then you can reach your goal by losing about 2 lbs a week., which is what I can do if I stay honest with the tracking..
Try some exersize too. Even a 15 minute walk each day is helpful and the fresh air will do wonders for you.
If I can help you on a daily basis let me know. We can chat on here, send emails and maybe even phone calls, I live in Southwest Minneapolis..

Hi Dawn, would love to be your accountabilty partner. I am over 60 and have been on sparkepeople since March this year. Have lost 25 lbs so far and hope to lose 40 more by the end of the year. A few years ago I weighed in at 312 lbs, and I am only 5'2" tall.. lost weight by counting calories, the hard way...paper and pencil with calculator...I absolutely love sparkepeople. Am losing the 30 lbs I had gained back...the easy way. I live in southwest Minneapolis area. If interested, please let me know. I could use someone to account to also....hope to hear from you soon and happy losing!!

Hi.

I'm Dawn and I'm a newbie. I like the idea of being a Sparkler but know I need at least one accountability partner to keep me going. emoticon

A little more about me: I'm (gulp) almost 40, engaged (almost put single....thank goodness I'm done with that!)...will be married to my Geek in October. I live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota with my two black cats. I want to loose at least 25 lbs by my wedding. Well...if you want to know more, please check out my page. I'm looking for someone to communicate via mail weekly ?daily? with updates on how things are going.....etc.
