This year I started a membership and also joined an event on Facebook called "365 miles in 365 days". I started on 1 Jan, and I've already ran 29.88 mi! In high school, I was a sprinter, so distance was never a friend of mine. Recently, the longest I ran was 5mi. I do intervals to build up my endurance and so far... so good. I'm just so motivated to get my life in order from the inside out (including quitting smoking)! I'm also ecstatic to be surrounded in the gym and on the internet by so many people with the same/similar goals as myself. It makes it that much easier to stay on track. I just want to spread the word to as many people as I can. You never know who's in the same predicament as you. We all have struggles, and sometimes we all need a little help.
