Hello all. I'm no newbie to the trying to lose weight goal, I am however new to Sparkpeople and the idea of having a community support to help me lose weight. Usually I just try to tough it out and lose it on my own. However I am realizing rather quickly that my husband makes it difficult. If he's not on board with losing weight with me, then it's so hard for me to try and lose weight on my own. I know I can't force him, but it makes it twice as hard to go it alone.

So with that being said, I'm 24 years old and looking to make myself healthier. I'd love to be active again. I've already got osteoarthritis in my knee and so it makes being active hard. I'm also an emotional eater. Bored = eat. Sad = eat. Happy = eat. I'm hoping that an online community like this will help me take my mind off of having to eat. I found out about this site actually in a magazine, and thought why not check it out.
