This site has helped me in so many ways. I took it slow and fumbled around, but finding a couple teams that have similar situations has helped me learn so much about myself that helps me succeed.

emoticon to Sparkpeople!

You have made such an important step to your life-changing journey just by checking the free online program out! So far, so good!

I wanted to let you know that sometimes, unfortunately, people sign up for Spark People and don't stay on the site very long.

This is SO devastating for me to see.

So I really want to encourage you to get involved in the community and make some friends!

Feel free to check out my SparkPage and add me as a friend. I also invite you join the ***MOTIVATORS*** Team that I am a co-leader of. These TEAM has been so great for me by helping me STICK to the program this time around.

I don't know what I would do without them.

Hope to see you soon!

-Mandi

Welcome to Spark People. I'd recommend taking advantage of Spark Coach. The first week is free, and I think it's a great introduction to learn about everything that is available, and basic philosophy here.

At the end of the week, you can choose to continue in that program (there's a charge) or continue on alone.

I left more comments on your spark page.

Good luck!!

Welcome. Explore teams out there for those who are struggling with some of the same issues. Here is a link to teams for cancer survivors www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_search_
results.asp
and here is a link to diabetic teams www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_search_
results.asp?strMethod=search
.

You will do as well here as you want! Those who work hardest have the best luck. emoticon

Welcome to SP! The first step is to read as many of the articles as you can and educate yourself. Make small lifestyle changes and most importantly, just keep going! We're all here to support you.

I'm new to spark people. I read about it this site in a magazine and thought I would give it a try. I recently had surgery to remove a tumor from my lung and was diagnosed with lung cancer. I was very lucky in that they were able to remove all of the cancer from my lung. I have type 2 diabetes and now require insulin. I'm looking to lose weight and get in shape. I'm here for any support I can get!
