Wow. that is an amazingly tough journey. It sounds great that you and your husband are doing this together. If you eat right and exercise the pounds just come off. I have found making this website a habit to track your food and your exercise really helps.
Best of luck.

Hi, I have just spent my first couple hours on this site, setting up for tomorrow (today) it is late, 2 am. I am starting a contest tomorrow... a local greatest loser, run by the local hospital. I need to lose 100 pounds or more. I had a car accident that was nearly fatal. I have been over 4 years recovering from all the injuries. It left me with a lot of pain, and I don't do pain pills. Don't want to. So I have been to a lot of doctors, and finding help for my body- a little through a cervical chiropractor who only adjusts my neck.
I haven't let being disabled stop me from camping (tent camping) or fishing this past summer. My husband and I bought a 5 man 12 ft raft and trolling motor, like a floating couch... so I could go fishing without a lot of stiffness and pain.
I am a songwriter/recording artist. And my music (recorded before the car accident) is found at several websites, but right now I mostly use www.reverbnation.com/songbirdcindy where I have remained #1 on the local chart no matter where I have lived. My music is inspirational, and most of my songs have great stories behind them. I am working on writing more... to tell my story. It is hard for me to write about it. I coded in the hosptial, with broken back, neck, de-gloved arm, crushed rt cheek that was re-built, and left deaf in my rt ear. The ear was fixed over a year ago through surgery... so I can hear. But the effects of the injuries still remain... diminished since the accident of course.
I am literally coming back from the dead. The journey is hard. I was widowed two years before the accident. But have been given a second opportunity for love with my husband Randy, married almost three years. Sparkpeople looks really good to me. My goal will be to use it faithfully. The website appears to be awesome... a gift to us all. So now it is up to me. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I am at facebook if you want to go check out my music there it is at www.facebook.com/Songbirdcindysmusic and my other FB site is www.facebook.com/songbirdcindy where I have a lot of photos from camping in the mountians this past summer. When you look at Randy and I you will see we are prime candidates for this program. Randy is having health problems that are getting serious and also has diabetes. Any encouagement is greatly appreciated. Tips on how you kept faithful are welcome... or fav. recipes... etc.
