Thank you for all you kind comments. I reallly needed to hear them. Especially after my boyfriend's comment last night. I know he did not mean to hurt my feelings, but it came across that way.

Miss Margaret darling, so good to have you here. I have been up and down the scales over the years. Even on and off spark people the last two years. Since I got back on again in August I have done better than I did on my own the last two years.

You have a good mind set, baby steps every day. I believe in that. That develops healthy habits that last. East just a little less, move just a little more. Log every single thing that you eat and drink. It really helps you learn about yourself and make smarter choices.

I saw somethng on here a few months ago.... "this time next year, you will wish you started now". I try to keep that in my head all the time. Best of luck to you!

Hi emoticon and congratulations on beginning your Spark journey!

There's so much here to help you along the way and excellent advice to setting and achieving healthy goals. With the thousands and thousands of fellow Sparkers you will always find someone you can connect with. I am always amazed how many lives have been changed for the better through the use of SparkPeople.

If you have not already done so, I suggest that you check out the videos in the "Healthy Lifestyle" section. Scroll down for the site orientation videos.

That should point you in the right direction. I find that if you just start looking around Spark, you will quickly learn about the wonderful tools available for your use. After being a Sparker since 2007, I still find something new and very useful.

Welcome and best wishes!

My topic pretty much explains it. I am new to Sparkpeople. I have been told it has good support from everyone. And that is what I need right now. I had lost 60+ lbs, but gained 25 lbs of it back this last year due to severe migraines. Now I am taking meds that help with that and am wanting to get back on track and need encouragement and help. I have set small goals to meet each day to meet toward the bigger weekly goal. One day at time I tell myself. Well I had better get busy, it is Saturday and I have housework I need to get done while it is early. Thank you for listening. Take care and God bless.
