Welcome!! So glad that you joined SP! There are so many things to love about Spark! Great people, threads (where you can post/comment/ask questions/share thoughts), groups, challenges, etc., etc. I know that it's really important to track, too, so I would highly recommend tracking what you eat, if/when you exercise, etc. Good luck and I hope you enjoy using SP as much I have/do! xoxo

Hi, NEEKSMOM...and emoticon emoticon emoticon to Spark! I am quite limited in the exercising I can do, and I think you'll find that what DIDS said is highly accurate. I lost all my weight despite difficulty with exercise. The key is really in what you eat, and if you track everything you eat accurately, you will not fail at this. I lost 70 + pounds and have kept it off for a couple years now, so there's every reason you can confidently feel very optimistic. The key is sticking to the calorie level that's right for you.

If you find you still need additional help, you can always have a personalized consultation with a registered dietitian (R.D.). I did that along the way, although it was for a problem related to sodium metabolism.

Hi Shari...

Thank you for making me feel welcome to Spark. I will check out the exercises seated. I am in my wheelchair all the time anymore.

I have a friends who went through Chemo and radiation. I know what courage and faith that takes.

Hello and Welcome to Spark!
I am limited in what I can do with exercise because of damage to my hip from cancer and radiation treatments; I do most of my workouts seated. I have a collection of chair aerobic and chair exercise DVDs that I use.

80% of weightloss is in the kitchen anyway. You will do great. I started by removing all the crap from my pantry and refrigerator.

Hi....I am starting a weight loss journey. I weight 242 pounds and ready to feel better. I am disabled in a wheelchair and while I may not be able to exercise much, I can control the food I eat. Here I go on my way to feel healthier and look better!
