thank you for your replies, i am trying lots of things to see what i really enjoy, think i might give zumba a try that seems fun

I definitely agree with MIGHTYLISA.

People can tell you what works for them and what THEY love, but if you like it and hate it, then there is no point in doing it!! If someone loves to run and they lost x-number of pounds doing so, but you can't stand running, then don't! Try biking instead. Or using an elliptical/rowing machine/etc. It's YOUR journey and all about what makes YOU feel good :)

Different things work for different people. The most important thing is to keep at it and give it all you've got. If you're bored then you'll find excuses not to go. That's good that you recognized that and changed things up a bit.

I am new to excercise, just joined a gym about 3 month ago and have been doing the following

Mon - 1 hour Body Pump & 1 hour Yoga
Tues - rest
Wed - 1 hour Body Pump
Thurs - 1 hour Pilates
Fri - 30 mins swim
Sat - 45 mins walking
Sun - 45 mins walking

I was getting a bit bored and have bought Jillian Michaels: 30 Day Shred I am on my 7th day and I am loving it. emoticon

Is this better for me than going to the gym ??
