Welcome Carol! I recommend starting by getting comfortable with the nutrition and fitness trackers. For me, those were step 1. After that, the "my SparkPoints" under "My Tools" is a good place to go. It will lead you to ways to get points which are ultimately your resources - health articles, the message boards, health trivia, recipes...

Welcome, Carol! I joined SparkPeople on 10/8/10. I didn't stay within my calorie range on Friday, but I did on Saturday and Sunday. I've lost 2 lbs so far. I was starving the 1st day, annoyingly hungry the 2nd, and mildly hungry the 3rd. But the weight is coming off! I've learned so much from the people here and the articles. Good luck to you! This website is amazing...and the nutrition plan actually works!
Hello and welcome. I am not new to sparkpeople but I don't post much. I have used the fitness tracker and food tracker but I need to make friends and have someone to share successes with. It is a tough journey to healthy living and I have found that it just can't be done alone. Hopefully you will lose the weight you want to lose and have a long and happy life with that little grandbaby!

I just started this program today. I have a good amount of weight I need to lose and need the support of a group. I hope I can make some connections and we can help each other.
