Welcome Carol! I recommend starting by getting comfortable with the nutrition and fitness trackers. For me, those were step 1. After that, the "my SparkPoints" under "My Tools" is a good place to go. It will lead you to ways to get points which are ultimately your resources - health articles, the message boards, health trivia, recipes...

Welcome, Carol! I joined SparkPeople on 10/8/10. I didn't stay within my calorie range on Friday, but I did on Saturday and Sunday. I've lost 2 lbs so far. I was starving the 1st day, annoyingly hungry the 2nd, and mildly hungry the 3rd. But the weight is coming off! I've learned so much from the people here and the articles. Good luck to you! This website is amazing...and the nutrition plan actually works!

Hello and welcome. I am not new to sparkpeople but I don't post much. I have used the fitness tracker and food tracker but I need to make friends and have someone to share successes with. It is a tough journey to healthy living and I have found that it just can't be done alone. Hopefully you will lose the weight you want to lose and have a long and happy life with that little grandbaby!

I too am having trouble navigating but hop[efully will get some help from my daughter. I do not know how for example to track my sparkstreak stuff for example my water or my 10 min a day

Thank you very much Linda. I am really overwhelmed with all the postive comments and connections I am already making. I had some trouble navigating the pages and have a ton of advice and information sent to my page! What a lovely bunch of people here.
My name is Carol, my adorable cutest ever little grandbaby (LOL) is Rachel. She is the apple of my eye and can't say Grandma and it comes out Bama...too cute for anything in my opinion. I am a wee bit biased however.

I just started this program today. I have a good amount of weight I need to lose and need the support of a group. I hope I can make some connections and we can help each other.
I will tell more about me as I feel comfortable to do so.
