I hope you'll find a team or two where there are others with common interests. Became active on those teams. Find folks who are supportive of you and your goals. Before you know it, you'll be losing your weight and well on your way. If you need help finding teams or have questions, please drop by my page and ask. I'll be happy to help you.
And create a SparkPage for yourself! You'll be glad you did. It's a wonderful way for folks to drop by and communicate with you ... both with comments and goodies.
Give yourself some time ... it will take that to learn all the tools and to find your way around. But you can do it!! We're so glad you are here!

Hello Crystleen! Welcome to SP and congratulations! I do have several friends that use fitness pal but I tried it, and I didn't really get much from it. I am a big fan of SP and work in the weight loss and fitness industry so I try things to see what's out there and what works!
SP has everything you need and syncs with things like my BodyMedia and Fitbit etc. so you don't have to keep entering all the same junk over and over! :)
I think you have to identify what motivates you. I love sparkpoints and being part of the community team and leader but some people love the teams and groups to get support and ideas from...kinda like a healthy facebook :) There are challenges and lots to see and do on here! I always recommend going to your sparkpoints page and work yourself up the list everyday to see exactly what's all available on the site! Most importantly track whatever passes your lips and how much you shake your booty! :)

Hi Crystleen, Welcome! You can add friends on here, visit message boards, join teams, send private messages. There's all kinds of ways to connect. Spark is definitely motivating, and it's a great community to be a part of.

I've been doing My Fitness Pal off and on for years and I haven't see much change in my weight loss, so I felt like switching it up a little and see what Sparkle can do for me. This site is a little confusing, not as simple as MFP, but hopefully it is more motivating!
I don't know if you add friends on here or not or how to look for motivation from others but I will figure it out, maybe... lol
