Any of the exercises can be modified for your fitness level. Also, don't feel like you have to do the whole video, or the whole suggested workout, when you're just starting out. One of the SP mantras is "just 10 minutes a day," and it really does work when you're just getting started.
As for muscle soreness, I've really come to appreciate it in a way. Muscles form when they tear during exercise, then heal themselves over the tears, making your muscles much stronger than they were. It's hard to avoid all soreness, but make sure you're stretching for 10-15 minutes after every workout because that definitely helps.

Being in Texas check out my favorite doctor, Roby Mitchell M.D./PhD. His YouTube channel is DrFitt I found him when my son had Testicular Cancer and I've followed him ever since. He had advanced prostrate cancer and cured himself with diet and exercise. Very interesting doctor.

Hi My name is carolann and I have been trying to get myself and my husband eating healthier and become more active. We just retired and moved to The lone stare state, so we can get outside more months of the year. We both want to lower our cholesterol and blood pressure and loose 20 lbs or so. The suggested work outs seem too strenuose for us are there more low impact or beginner level ones we can start with that will get us going without sore muscles.
