What about a lunch walking group at work? Since the pedometer thing is work-sponsored, I'd be willing to bet that your coworkers would love to spend most of their lunch hour out walking instead of sitting around the lunch table!

Welcome!!! You are in a great place for support. I also have three kids, who are active. I however am stay at home mom, and I still find it hard sometimes to make time for me. I don't like getting up any earlier than I have to. But if that is what you think will work for you try it. Try several different things until you find what is right for you. Maybe you could walk on your lunch break, if like me you love every second of sleep you can get. Feel free to stop by my page anytime. Wishing you much luck.

Welcome Morgana! I also work full time and have two children so I know how hard it can be to balance family, work and working out. I like your idea of getting up early to work out. I think that if you do that, track your food intake and drink plenty of water you will slowly see weightloss. Please let us know how it goes for you!

Hi Everyone! I'm new here and looking for support on my journey to lose weight! I guess I"ll tell you about myself, first. I'm "Morgana," 33 years old, been married to the love of my life for 10 years, and we have 3 beautiful children. A DD, age 8, a DS, age 7, and baby DD is 5 (I know, not a baby, but MY baby!) I'm a nurse, so you would think that I would be on my feet a lot, but no. A few mos. ago I scored myself a cushy desk job w/fabulous hours, no weekends/nights/holidays. Great, right? It is, except that I sit at that desk ALL day and am SO sedentary now. My weight is just creeping up (and it was already too high!) My job is having a competition, and gave us all pedometers. I was SHOCKED to see that w/my new job I'm only getting about 3000 steps a day! I think I'm going to have to start getting up earlier in the AM to work out. After work isn't an option. I get home at 345-4pm. Help the kids w/homework, cook dinner, spend time w/them, give baths and then it's 830, they're going to bed and I'm exhausted. And the days the kids have extra curricular's are ever more busy. I really need a plan and to stick to it. I know this is long and rambling, and I'm sorry. I'm open to any tips and suggestions on how to lose 30ish LBS when I'm a working full time and have 3 young kids. TIA and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
