I try to bike to work a minimum of three days a week. The other day I got a flat on the way home and didn't have a spare tube or repair kit. The next day I drove to work and realized how much I missed my morning bike ride to work! I had planned on getting the stuff to fix my bike on the weekend when I had more time, but after work I went and got the stuff I needed (plus an extra tube and repair kit!) so I could bike to work today. I just couldn't stand the idea of having to get in my car on a beautiful day to go to work! I love that biking to work is now how I PREFER to get to work- it makes me feel awake and relaxed as I start my day. I can feel the stress disappear from my body as I ride. It gives me a huge boost at the beginning of the day and is a great transition time to let my stress go at the end of the day.
