I have read your last blog on this and book-marked the page for a later date - and undoubtedly there WILL be timeS that it is needed. Thank you!

I've left a few messages. I know here at home, I've had friends tell me that my experience convinced them to stay away from it but they've gotten to see up close and personal what a nightmare this diet was. I also decided to blog about the diet until all my doctors appointments are done. I still have three more iron infusions because of this diet.

If you're interested or run across somebody thinking of doing this, feel free to point them toward my blog where on Sparkpeople. There are so many stories across the web of people hurt by this diet. I hope my blog can help a bit.

Thank you so much for your comment. This whole hCG thing has been really rough on myself and my family :(

May I suggest something to you? When you look through the message boards and see something like this type of diet being discussed, PLEASE share your experience with them. A lot of people are really gullible and/or so desperate (even if they are already at a reasonably good weight) to try anything without thinking of the ramifications. If a few more people shared the negatives, it may get through to some and steer them away from it.

I wish you well for a speedy and healthy recovery.

Take care,
Kris

Thank you! I am taking it really easy. I'm going through iron infusions right now and don't have much energy at all. I'm only doing what is okayed by my doctor. We really do take our hearts for granted and when they start acting up, it wakes you up in a hurry!

I wish you a speedy recovery! Please remember your heart needs to heal fully before you are strong enough to resume the weight loss challenge...and it IS a challenge to your body!!

As my sister told me (following a bout with congestive heart failure) "I wish folks would think of it like a broken leg...you wouldn't ask them to walk two miles until after they've been in a cast for awhile, totally healed and getting the muscles back in shape. Just cause you can't see the heart doesn't mean it doesn't need the same time!"

Take Care and best wishes on your journey!!

Had a horrible experience with the hCG Diet. Still recovering but also desperate to get my metabolism back. It is so slow. The doctor has me eating just above my basil metabolic rate and I'm gaining! Before I did the hCG thing, I would have been easily losing with this amount.

So, my goal is to normalize my metabolism again. No more hCG or ridiculously crazy diets. My heart was affected and I learned my lesson.
