At 5'8, you may be 20# overweight, but probably not "a good 40#". Check the charts for a healthy weight for your height.

I started here on this site back in 2010 and did not really do much.I started back today. I had a Drs check up yesterday and when I got on that scale I thought I have had enough. I am tall so some people say oh you are not fat. I am 5'8 and weight 183lbs. I am about a good 40lbs over weight.This is the biggest I have been besides after having my kids. I am 38 and I know if I dont take charge now its just gonna get worse as I get older. So I am hoping through this site and everyones support I can achieve my goal of where I should be.
