I have to think about this. I'm so happy this is the first year in a long time that my resolution won't be to lose weight! But, I'm continuing to maintain and need healthy habit and exercise goals to continue to do that. I'll come back to this!

I will have to think about this. This year I think I will whip my husband into shape. Yeah, that sounds good.
My resolutions have already started on some ends..I told myself any form of suffering/struggles... financial, love, emotional, friendship, etc will be left in 2010.. 2011 will be a great year! My goals are: 1) to stick with my eating healthy eating habits, drinking water, vitamins, etc. 2) exercise hard 5 days a week so I can take the weekends off.. which means getting up early! 3) Pay off debt! 4) I'd like to have my own apartment by summer '11 5) declutter and organize everything in my life! 6) SAVE! 7) I want to look good for my 25th birthday, summer and everything else! AND feel good!! I just don't want to live like I have been anymore. I'm 24 years old.. time to clean up my act and be smart with things..I want to better myself I suppose is the ultimate goal.

I dont make resolutions anymore. I plan on continuing to concentrate on me and to work on my financial situation
hm... ive been thinking about this all day, with lots of nebulous ideas. for sure i want to complete 4 of the official spark people challenges, that would be great (sleeping, eating, stress busting and body bootcamp). My biggest goal for the new year has to do with developing psychological strength and resilience. I'm not sure how to measure that yet tho, and good goals need to be somewhat measurable so that you know when you've done them. So I'll come up with specific markers I want to reach that will demonstrate that I'm working on that 'goal'... maybe I can blog about this :)
My goals for 2011 (as of right now) are as follows: 1. Create a daily goal; sometimes focused on the larger goal, sometimes just small things that I need to accomplish 2. Stick with my 2 side businesses for the entire year, and work them to not only hold myself accountable but to earn extra money 3. Be able to buy clothes at Old Navy (the store, not online!) 4. Listen to a motivational audio book at least 1 way to/from work each day 5. Read a motivational book at least 15 minutes a day 6. Better define my circle of friends (12/3/1) and communicate with them on a daily (1), weekly (3), and monthly (12) basis 7. Continue to mentor my 2 U of I students 8. Develop better mentors at work 9. Build and work my network (using principles in The Power of Who) 10. Foster my relationship with my youngest brother by talking to him on a daily basis and asking relevant questions that he will answer!
I'm really proud of my 2011 goals listing - I think it's really something I can accomplish and be proud of the results at the end of 2011!
1. To reduce the clutter. 2. Find an exercise I enjoy. 3. Be smaller at the end of the year than the beginning.

That's a really good question. I need to start thinking about what would be some good challenges for me to tackle in the coming year. I really like the idea of saving $5000 this year, but since I can't find employment that one might be a tough one. I also like the idea of putting my self first or taking better care of myself. You know how women, mothers can be, we take care of everyone else and everything else and neglect ourselves. So that's a challenge to work on for 2011...
hmmmzz. it should be important and real and definite. then the resolution is: i will be smaller then size 12 till next x-mas. And once i am smaller then size 12 i shall buy myself an evening gown, and if i am less then 10... i will go Paris (to buy a gown :D)
I don't do New Years Resolutions because I find I have an all or nothing mentality with them and if I trip up, I give up for the rest of the year.

Made 'em last year and the year before that and have kept 'em.
This year, I don't know what's left, but I will certainly start thinking about it.
Though we cannot control the winds, we can adjust the sails.
Ditto on "starting my new job", ALLI429. After the 1st, I'm going to commit to getting a promotion or leaving my company!
Also, this past year I read the "New Rules of Lifting for Women" and completed the workout program and it was fantastic. In 2011, I'm going to read and complete the lifting program in another of Alwyn Cosgrove & Lou Schuler's books.
I would like to remove some of the clutter that is in my life...this includes the stuff in my house. I would also like to get back to exercising since I know that it helps me feel better about myself and that I will have more energy to get everything done that needs to be in the day. Oh and just to enjoy the great changes that are already in my life!

My goals are to work on consistency and stop beating myself up when I don't do what I say I'm going to do. I'm going to be my own cheerleader and woohoo all my accomplishments and forget the rest. HNY!!!

Admit when I'm wrong.
Challenge yourself today, and tomorrow you will thank yourself. That's a promise. You ARE worth the commitment.
I have had the same New Year's resolution for the last 3 years. I do not try any new unhealthy foods. If there is a new chocolate bar out or someone has something new from the bakery I do not try it because I do not need any new cravings. But this year I have 2 new years resolutions the one I just told you about and I'm going to start spending more of the other halfs money. I am very cheap afraid to spend a cent. He always laughs and says that he doesn't have to worry about me spending cause I won't. So this year I am going to get healthy and buy stuff as a reward.

I would love to say that it's to get out of debt, but pretty sure that it will take more then a year for that to happen.
Now, i just want to continue life, with major volunteering, and continue to drop the pounds.

I want to start saving $100 per week to put toward a down payment on a house. Up until now, I've been pretty careless with my money. I want to pay better attention to where it's going so saving $5000 in a year will be achievable.
One of my goals for next year is to stop using my 21 month old daughter as an excuse. I must find a way to exercise at least 2 days a week. Another goal of mine is to take my daughter out more to play with and around other children.
stop smoking i really need to i gave up alcohol last year so this year it will be cigaretts

I know we should make healthy choices & goals anytime throughout the year, but January 1st just seems like an easy way to go!
So I was just wondering if you are planning your 2011 goals? Every year I like to make little goals, that I know I will stick to! This past year it was to exercise 5 days a week, and to eat healthy and switch to wheat bread & pasta and brown rice.
This year my goals are going to be trying harder to stay away from processed foods, like pretzels!! And try to eat a little more clean. Also to drink more water and to focus on getting toned, specifically working on my abs. I want to work harder to getting more lean everywhere. Now I'm not talking about crazy toned, but to have some definition in my body.
I still have a few weeks till January first, so I may change it. So what goals are you planning for next year?
