I haven't tried anything new as a direct result of joining SP....but I think since I joined I have added lentils, cauliflower and onions to the things that I can now make without my husband turning his nose up.
Most recent new thing to try was sauerkraut because it's suppose to be a good source of K2 vitamins which apparently a lot of people are low on. I made this soup allrecipes.com/recipe/sauerkraut-soup-ii/d
it is very good (must rinse the sauerkraut to avoid sour taste and remove salt). I will be remaking it again only I need to look into how to make a clean alternative to the canned soups and will use fresh potatoes and carrots instead of canned. I think it would also be fine without the sausage.....husband heard sauerkraut and turned his nose up.
