WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time.
A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Put together your own Spark page. This is a great way to communicate with other members and build relationships that will support and motivate you. You can do this by going to the START page and the green section has something about your Sparkpage.
2. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
3. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Welcome to Spark. You have taken an important step on your journey by joining! I've been a member a little over 3 years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained a lot of the pounds back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. The sense of community and the friendships I have made here keep me going! Explore the site, make your Sparkpage if you haven’t, join teams, and make friends. Hello everyone, here I am on the beginning of my new life journey. Started January 1, I decided I needed to get control of my life. This is the time to get my mind, body and soul in gear as I am fast approaching the big 48. I plan on being a sexy and fabulous senior so I feel I need to get the ball rolling. I have lost 13 pounds so far and even been smoke free for 2 weeks. Yes, this is the year the new me begins.
I have a wonderful and supportive fiancé, 2 great kids and 3 going on 4 grandsons. I look forward to helping anyone I can and being a friend to anyone who wishes. I may not know all the answers but I can provide a sympathetic ear, patience and understanding. We are all in this journey together so lets make the most of it. Remember to err is human so if we stumble it is ok to do so , just dust yourself off and keep pushing towards that goal. I can do it, you can do. WE ALL WILL DO IT!!!!
