The first good thing you did was not "wait until whatever!" That is strong in it's self. It also shows determination and commitment. Use that as fuel when you feel down. Remember this is a valuable life's journey in a healthy lifestyle. I wouldn't want to change for anything now. Every day is like a new adventure and I'm still challenging myself at 61! Thanks everyone...I'm really glad I decided to join this site, it's nice to get feedback instead of doing it all on my own. The 35 pounds I want to lose have crept back on to me since I lost 86 pounds in 2007, so I know what I'm doing, and am happy to have others who do too. We can all do this...no delays, no excuses...
Welcome! There's no need to wait until the new year to start living a healthier life. You're right - you could be almost a size smaller by 2012! I think you are going to do great here! Congratulations on taking the first step. Be sure to join some teams, and I really like reading blogs and health articles. There's just so much here! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Welcome! The "new year" can start whenever works for you! Some cultures celebrate it in the fall, others at Solstice, etc. etc.

I thought about waiting until the new year, but decided not to waste time, so here I am...four weeks early...and raring to go!!! (By New Year's day I should be 6-8 pounds lighter!)
I'm mom to two adult kids, and soon to be grandmother to my first grandchild (April 2012.) I'm a dog lover and avid exerciser...why I'm 35 pounds heavier than I should be, is a mystery I intend to solve!!! I live in Colorado with the love of my life, my hubby (26+ years.)
