Great idea,, planning for December!

185 on my fourth anniversary of July 7, 2010
Joined weight watchers on 10/18/10 @ 188.0/after multiple 17 week passes took a break on 2/11/12
Weight Loss in 2011--24 lbs.
Plan to lose 12 lbs in 2012
7/07/12=6th anniversary
2012--lost 12 lbs this year!!!
1/04/13--149 :-)
9/29/13--138 50 lbs
3/26/14--diagnosed with diabetes
7/26/14--a1c 7.1

The first good thing you did was not "wait until whatever!" That is strong in it's self. It also shows determination and commitment. Use that as fuel when you feel down. Remember this is a valuable life's journey in a healthy lifestyle. I wouldn't want to change for anything now. Every day is like a new adventure and I'm still challenging myself at 61! I wish you the very best and great healthy. Rock on....

Thanks everyone...I'm really glad I decided to join this site, it's nice to get feedback instead of doing it all on my own.
The 35 pounds I want to lose have crept back on to me since I lost 86 pounds in 2007, so I know what I'm doing, and am happy to have others who do too. We can all do delays, no excuses...

Welcome! There's no need to wait until the new year to start living a healthier life. You're right - you could be almost a size smaller by 2012! I think you are going to do great here! Congratulations on taking the first step. Be sure to join some teams, and I really like reading blogs and health articles. There's just so much here! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Welcome! The "new year" can start whenever works for you! Some cultures celebrate it in the fall, others at Solstice, etc. etc.

I thought about waiting until the new year, but decided not to waste time, so here I am...four weeks early...and raring to go!!! (By New Year's day I should be 6-8 pounds lighter!)

I'm mom to two adult kids, and soon to be grandmother to my first grandchild (April 2012.) I'm a dog lover and avid exerciser...why I'm 35 pounds heavier than I should be, is a mystery I intend to solve!!!
I live in Colorado with the love of my life, my hubby (26+ years.)
