Hi! I'm Michelle. I was on Spark years ago and successfully lost 70lbs. I never reached my goal, but I still accomplished something great. I kept the weight off for 3 years before becoming pregnant and gaining 40 back. I was able to lose about 30lbs again after having my son just over 2 years ago. However, after a recent 2nd trimester miscarriage (February of this year) and successfully quitting smoking a month before becoming pregnant, I now find myself nearing my previous high weight. (I'm only 20lbs lighter than my heaviest weight.)
I've watched my brother transform himself and lose 73lbs over the last 4.5 months by following a keto diet along with tracking all of his food and calorie counting. I am so very proud of him, albeit jealous of his quick success. I know that it's time to kick my butt into gear. I have Hashimoto's and know that this will be a struggle, but I've been successful before and now I have a beautiful little boy that I would love to keep up with at the park.
My goal is to get back down to my weight when I was 16: 132 lbs. That means I have 110 lbs to lose. I know it's going to be hard work and I don't expect to drop the weight so quick, but I know I need the community that Spark People provides! I wish everyone success in their personal goals, and hope that I can accomplish mine as well!! Time to get moving! (And...um...sleeping. This insomniac should not be posting her intro at 2:20 am...)
