I will be 71 in May and am just starting to get a handle on my weight problem that has gradually increased over the past 6 years. It is never too late to try and improve you life!! emoticon I am also a cancer suviver!! emoticon Together we can do many things we can not do alone!!

This forum is great, but the place to really find support and friends is in the Spark Teams. If you go to the Community pulldown, then click on Spark Teams, you will be taken to a page that has a search bar. Enter key words that match your interests to find teams with like-minded people, then check out the teams and join any that interest you.

I started spark people about a week ago. I have had times that I could not give up my rum and coke, and had a night with pizza. I have decreased my intake of food by leaps and bounds even with these flaws. Since I started I have lost 6 lbs. Not great but I am still trying my best to eat less and drink more water. I am impressed that it is working for me and happy that I do see results in the midst of my own lack of will power. This is my first post and haven't figured out this forum yet. emoticon

So far I have done okay my first 2 days I am a breakfast eater so I have to learn to cut back on some of my calories I hope everyone a a blessed day, and remember We can do all things thru Christ Jesus which strenghten us
