I weighed in today and am higher than my starting weight. I'm coming off of a binge month. After I got off the scale this morning, I shrugged my shoulders, took a deep breath, and decided to get started again.
When I first started Sparking, I saw a thread or a blog somewhere, that described it like this:
If you dropped a plate and chipped it - would you then carry on and smash the rest of the china in your cupboard? No. Of course not! That would be silly! You damage one little plate, you just carry on, you make do without it, or you take steps to replace it - you don't throw *everything* away because of one little slip.... the message was we should treat ourselves like fine china... and never give up on ourselves because of a little chip or crack here and there....
Realize that the binge days are in the past, and today is a new day with its own goals.
I chose to lose weight because I didn't want to be the weight I was. Giving up would have only put me back at a weight I didn't want to be at. So we start again tomorrow. One foot in front of the other. :)

I know I'd have a gain in this weigh-in because I've had quite a few binge days but, how do you get past it and not get defeated or want to just give up?
