Good for you Oakdale. I too had a lapse, but mine was 2 months! I honestly don't know how that much time went by. But as of yesterday, I got back to my walking routine. Making a self pledge to get back on track. I know that I will feel better for it.

I absolutely love reading, I would rather read than do almost anything else. Having to put my book down to cook or things like that is a real hardship for me.

Lately I have been listening to audio books that I got for free from the library. I walk 3 miles every day and listening to a book really makes the time go by fast. I have just started listening while running, and while it will take some adjustment to pace myself without the rhythm of music to help, I think I will like it more too. Being able to "read" while I exercise has made it much more enjoyable, and I no longer have to choose between sedentary reading and exercise.

It has been two and half weeks since I have exercised. I need to get back to it but I would rather read a book and munch on potato chips. But not tonight. I pledge to do a minumum of two Leslie Sansone miles tonight. Only I can make the choice to walk or sit. It is in my hands.
