Hang in there !! You've already taken your first steps towards a healthy lifestyle by taking that Crossfit class 2x a week. Take small steps. Make small changes. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated.
Make one simple change each week that you know you can stick with. Do you know that if you were to make that one change, in one year, you would have made 52 healthy changes ?
You're in Hawaii !! that's awesome !! Do you know how much really fresh fruit you have access too ? Eat and enjoy that fresh fruit !! Eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies each and every day can help you towards your goal of losing weight and being healthy.
Now, if eating 6-9 servings seems like too much, then why not eat 2-3 to start ? Do what you can. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time, that's not going to happen overnight. Thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
