Hang in there !! You've already taken your first steps towards a healthy lifestyle by taking that Crossfit class 2x a week. Take small steps. Make small changes. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated.
Make one simple change each week that you know you can stick with. Do you know that if you were to make that one change, in one year, you would have made 52 healthy changes ?
You're in Hawaii !! that's awesome !! Do you know how much really fresh fruit you have access too ? Eat and enjoy that fresh fruit !! Eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies each and every day can help you towards your goal of losing weight and being healthy.
Now, if eating 6-9 servings seems like too much, then why not eat 2-3 to start ? Do what you can. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time, that's not going to happen overnight. Thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
Slow and easy really does win this race ! And if you ever need support, we're all here to help and support each other.
I spent a lot of time when I first started Spark reading success stories and what I decided after reading them is that all of those people are just like me. If they could do it, so could I. That is where a lot of my motivation came from, I wanted to be a Spark success. What I took away from all those articles is that they had 2 things in common - they believed in themselves and they never gave up. Also if I can lose weight (over 60 pounds) then so can you! It hasn't been a fast loss but it's still coming.
Join some Spark teams that you have something in common with - they are a great source of support when you're not finding that at home.

What I have found in my years and years of trying to lose weight, is that no one can give you willpower, that has to come from within. Something inside you has to click into place and really truly want to change. I kept trying and kept trying for years and years and just kept gaining weight. Recently I decided something had to change and I am taking steps to change my life. Everyone around me isn't on board and I still am cooking 'normal food' for my kids sometimes, but I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this. I want to feel proud of how I look, not ashamed.
You can do this too. Start a journal or something, write down your feelings. Figure out WHY you want this, are the feelings strong enough to fuel your willpower? No one can take this journey for you, you have to do that yourself, but plenty of people can hold your hand and whisper words of encouragement.
I know that when the desire to be healthy outweighs the desire to eat bad foods etc. you'll be well on your way to success.

Whole30- Currently eating strict paleo diet of no dairy, sugar/sweeteners, grains, legumes, soy or alcohol. I only consume clean foods such as organic grass-fed meats, wild caught fish, cage-free eggs, fresh fruit, vegetables, healthy fats and raw nuts.
Once again I have fallen off the wagon. I moved to Hawaii and with that I have completely stop watching my calories. The only thing good I have done is take this class of Crossfit training for military spouses 2x a week...This has help me but I need some inspirational words to get me up and running to stay motivated because I do not receive those words at home... I need other ppl in my situation to help me out, somebody who understands me...
