These ideas sound amazing! I'm so hungry now but don't have any in the house. Will try some tomorrow though.

JUSTDOIT...oh my gosh. You had me drooling. I am adding this to our family dinner time. My kids would just love this !! Make your own pocket night !!

Sometimes I slice the pita in half ( to make two circles ) then stack a few and slice up like a pizza or slice into strips. Place on a cookie sheet and spray with butter Pam. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top and bake for just a few minutes until you get crispy sweet treat. 350 degrees for a few minutes. Watch your oven you don't want to burn them.

Ah! This reminds me of when my dad would make dinner when my siblings and I were younger, and we'd have "pita night" a lot....we'd each get a pita (cut in half, opened up, like a pocket), and the table would have trays/bowls of sliced cheese, tuna salad, chicken salad, sliced olives, pickles, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and salad dressings...and then we'd just have at it, buffet-style. I am guessing with younger kids it might be best to pre-make them rather than having them make their own, but nonetheless, veggies, sliced cheese, a tuna or chicken salad, and then a salad dressing in it tasted really good.

Pita bread cut in half. Put low fat thin sliced cheese in there and put in microwave till cheese melts. (a little less than a minute) I like ketchup so I drizzle a little regular or hot and spicey on it before I put it in microwave.

Pita bread cut in half, stuff with lettuce, cucumber, roasted red peppers (from a jar). Then I drizzle a little good seasons italian dressing over it.

Both of thee are very tasty and filling.

Pita pizzas are so easy to make and always good! I like turkey pepperoni, reduced fat mozzarella, and crushed tomatoes on mine, but you can top them with pretty much anything. I'd say they take about 15 minutes to make - 5 minutes for toppings, and 10 minutes in the oven or toaster. Enjoy!
