To enter a recipe in the recipe calculator:
1. Click the "Recipe Calculator" tab at the top of the page.
2. Enter the ingredients, nutritional information and cooking instructions for your recipe (follow the numbered steps on the page).
3. At the bottom of the page above "Save Recipe" is a checkbox. Leave the box checked to submit to SparkPeople's Shared Recipes Database or uncheck the box to keep it from being shared. (Then click "Save Recipe."
4. Click on "Recipe Box" at the top of the page, and your recipe will now appear there.

Would appreciate it if you could "walk" me through it from the beginning.

Don't remember what it said exactly, but I think I went to My Recipes to My Cookbook & entered the name of the recipe & then the ingredients.....then it informed me that I had too many letters (around 500) & the allowed was 300 or so. There fore did not get to put the recipe in there.

I have a copy of the recipe in Microsoft Word, but would like to put it in my recipe book so I can figure calories, etc. and be able to add to My Nutrition page when I fix the meal.

Thanks. Hope this makes sense.

I've never seen that message. Have you already saved the recipe or are you trying to save it? If you are trying to save it, what did you name your recipe?

When I try to enter a recipe in my cookbook it tells me I have too many letters. Someone please explain to me (in simple terms) how to do this so I can use it on My Nutrition page too.

Thanks.
