I do not like fish that tastes too "fishy" so I prefer Talapia or haddock. I lightly spray it with spray butter and add Old Bay seasoning then I bake it or grill it. It's the only way I can eat fish and it tastes pretty good.
I like tilapia because it doesn't really have a strong "fishy" taste. I like coat my fish with a small bit of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray, then dust with a tbsp. of Parmesan Cheese, Dill, & Celery Seasonings, & a squirt of fresh lemon, I also stuff with a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese and broil for about 15 minutes until done and Parmesan Cheese has a light brown. Gives it a wonderful flavor. I also like the Cajun fish ideas. Sounds Yummy and will try those myself :)

My family loves salmon and tilapia fillets (super-easy to make in a number of different ways). They also love crab, tuna or salmon cakes (also very easy!). Experiment with seasonings to find what you love: Old Bay Seasoning, dill and lemon are all great with seafood. I sometimes grill salmon fillets, coating them with some BBQ sauce just before they're done and then serving them on a bed of fresh, raw spinach (the hot fish wilts the spinach leaves a little). I also sometimes grill it plain or with a little citrus/honey mixture and then top with a tropical salsa like mango or pineapple. SO many great options -- have fun with it!
I too had the goal of trying new foods this year to at dinner one night I order Cajun Tilapia, my boyfriend looked stunned becuase I always ate chicken. But Tilapia is great, its really mild in flavor, light and flaky and you can put whatever seasoning you like on it, grill, bake, or pan sear in a little oil. It's super versatile and tastes great. Also my 3 year old nephew who only ever wants to eat cookies loves tilapia, and eats two fillets whenever we make it.
tuna steaks 1 cup orange juice a few generous squirts of lemon juice a few generous splashes of soy sauce ground black pepper cilantro 2 cloves garlic 1 teaspoon honey a splash of olive oil
Seal all ingredients except the olive oil in a Zip-Loc bag. Let the tuna marinate in the fridge for a half hour to a couple hours.
Remove the tuna steaks and cook on a griddle pan over high heat with a splash of olive oil. Flip the pieces every 30 seconds until they are done how you like them. I prefer them cooked right through, but some people like them pink in the middle.
I haven't entered this on Spark Recipes so I'm not sure about calories etc, but it'd be easy to play around with the amounts of OJ, soy sauce, and honey until you're happy with it.
If you like spicy food, try this one for any fish (though tilapia has a light flavor, so you might want to consider that one):
Coat a skillet with a nonstick spray and turn on medium until it is very hot. Use a dry rub on the fish of store-bought Cajun seasoning. Place in skillet and flip once cooked (it will depend on the thickness of the fish you're using). As the other side is frying, make a marinade of 2 tablespoons of orange marmalade and a tablespoon of lime juice. Allow to melt over the top.
The combination of spicy followed by a little bit of citrusy-sweet is terrific.
I've never liked seafood, but one of my nutrition goals is to ease into eating more seafood. Right now, the only type of seafood I can eat is canned tuna, with a lot of mayo and pepper lol Does anybody have any yummy, simple fish recipes that may be good for a non-fish eater?
