The Internet is great resource for healthy recipes!

I like Paleo Diet recipes
or
Gluten-free recipes (they just seem healthier)
or
Vegan recipes

Do some searches and see what you find. I've found a ton of great resources just messing around on various sites.

You shouldn't ever be bored!

There are tons of varieties of meats, vegetables, and fruits. I'm confused about why you think you would be eating the same things over and over when eating natural. I could easily go an entire year without eating the same combo twice.

Thank you all so much for your input! I guess i'm just at a crossroads of whether i should be eating clean or should i just stick to 1200-1500 calories a day, watch my fat and sodium intake. Along with eating all my fruits, veggies and protein. I just feel like i'm not doing the right thing! When i think i am i read that someone else thinks it's not right to eat. All i can do is try.

Follow / use SPs nutrition tracker. It's how I stay on course. Today I will eat within calorie/carb/fat/protein ranges.

I like the "very few things without a bar code"

My main exceptions:

frozen fruits and vegs with nothing added (I can't, year-round, get good selections)
whole (pretty much milk & bacterial culture) yogurt
unsweetened almond milk

You've also been given some great suggestions by others.

As you've not specified exactly what you consider junk, so I can't make an opinion on those

My plan was/is to use as little of anything with a bar code as possible. I use a theme/cuisine or ingredient as a start and sort of wing it. This method certainly sets you up for some failures, but the rewards are long lasting. I have learned a lot about my tastes and those around me. I have learned a lot about building a day of appropriate macros and micros. I have learned a lot about food pairings.

Supercook.com is a good resource for starting by ingredient.

You may want to purchase the new SP book, The Spark Solution.
2 weeks of meal plans, the recipes, lots of fruits, veggies, protein.
Sounds like it might give you that boost.

I find that for me, it isn't always what I eat, but rather how I prepare it. I enjoy cooking and so I experiment with recipes and try to make them fit my needs or wants.

For example, I made a rissoto the other day, where I doubled the recommended broccoli amount and reduced the butter and cheese by 3/4, and used no additional salt. Still came out great, and much healthier than the original version (my serving was around 230 calories, and the original came out to about 550). I got to have a dish I love

I'd say, check spark recipes and see what you find. You can always substitute ingredients to help a recipe meet your needs.

For my own use, I find "diet plans" way too restrictive!! I'd much rather pick and choose and explore on my own....

Here are several suggestions:
a) look in the Spark Recipes section, and make three new recipes this week.
b) many of the posters have their Nutrition Trackers set to public... If you check the Spark Page of Posters you enjoy reading and agree with....look at their trackers for ideas.
c) Do you use the Nutrition Tracker? It has meal plans available. The alternative in there is to follow your nutrients with it (besides Carb/Fat/Protein, I track Sodium/Potassium/Sat Fat/Chol, etc) enter foods for meals that "might work" and see what they come up to. You can always remove them!!

I been on the band wagon since May 1st. I'm doing pretty good. I just want a more stable diet. I kinda just eat what i think is healthy. Last few days i been googling some of things i been eating and realize they're not so healthy. Seems like there's always something bad in every food unless it comes from a tree or the ground. What i'm asking is... do you have a diet plan that's been working? I want to have a lot of fruits, veggies and protein in my diet. I just feel like i'm eating the same crap over and over. If it keeps going this way i know i'll fall off. I can't let that happen! Thoughts?
