Grief, anger, betrayal and depression--that's a full plate to deal with.

It takes TIME to recover from emotional blows as it does from physical injury. Don't rush yourself.

As much as you can, be present to the moment you are in, let go of anything you can that holds you back/down. It's kind of like weight loss--you lose a couple then one comes back--but the overall progress is forward.

The moment NOW doesn't have all your past pain in it. Try to stay there and rest a bit.

Take one day at a time and don't give up. Have you gone to a doctor for your depression? How about counseling? It will help you get through this rough patch of your life. We all have hard times so don't be afraid to ask for help. You may need something extra with all that has happened. I went to counseling for a couple years and though I hated to go, I didn't know what else to do at the time and I felt embarrassed, but it did help me and I'm glad I went.

Great advice below.
Take it slow. One day at a time. Do little things for yourself.
Utilizing the 5 senses helps get over depression.
Brighten up the rooms you spend time in or just look outside.
Listen to soothing and inspiring music.
Aromatherapy with candles.
New sheets might help you sleep. And they feel nice and crisp!
Hot tea for taste- I love sleepytime tea. It helps you relax too.

I am so sorry that you have been hit with all those things. I can't even imagine your pain.

I have a couple suggestions that might help you get started.
1. Set yourself a few small goals to get started. I did these ...Drink 8 glasses of water every day. Do 10 minutes of exercise a day (I just turned on some music and danced) and Give yourself a 5 minute pep talk in the mirror. I did those for over a month. I didn't worry to much about my eating but I did track everything. At the end of the month I continued to do these goals but I increase the exercise and water intake.
2. Are you getting any professional help with your losses and the robbery? That is important. I have suffered with depression and anxiety/panic attacks and being able to talk to someone was very helpful.

3. Take one day at a time. Don't beat yourself up for the things in the past or what didn't go just right in your day. Focus on the positives. When you slip up (and it happens to all of us), pick yourself up. dust yourself off and keep moving forward. We are all here to help you on this journey! emoticon

I started my weightloss journey a couple of years ago. Shortly after I started I lost my father and my 2 year old son, went through a divorce, was robbed at work, and ultimately couldn't walk back into the restaurant out of fear.

I have been struggling since then to just get my mind to have some fresh ideas. I eat the same things over and over. I only get 3-6 hours of sleep a night and I never go to bed at the same time. I have been dealing with PTSD and depression and sleep just never seems to come.

Please if anyone can give me some fresh ideas about how to get over this hump in my life I would be greatly appreciative.

Don't make someone a priority when your not even one of their options....

When you feel like giving up remember why you held on so long in the first place.
