Hi and welcome to SparkPeople! I know it can be overwhelming when you first start on the site; but, I believe you'll find it so worthwhile if you stick with it. Have you checked out the Getting Started Guide? Go to the My Trackers tab and select Start. On the right top side of the Start page there is a How To Use The Site tab. Check it out and I think you'll find it helpful.

Yeah, it can be overwhelming - at least at first. Took me a while to learn how to use the food tracker search tool effectively and also how to enter new foods myself so I could build my favorites list (once you have a good favorites list it gets simpler). I would say that the site is sooo wonderful for information and community it is WORTH pushing past the irritating ads. And the reason they can keep it free is in fact all those dang irritating ads. There are little tutorials for each part of the site to view that walk you through it visually - those helped me at the start. I would say it's about a 3 week learning curve. If you haven't yet, read The Spark - that could help you home in on the core message of SP. So, I encourage you to hang in (curse at it all you need to) and soak up the good SPARK stuff! Welcome!

Hi from LBecker7! I am having great difficulty navigating the pages of SparkPeople. I tried the Nutrition Track and do not eat most of the foods listed but have a hard time listing what I do eat. I really dislike that a new page pops up every time I want to change something! What happened to "User friendly?" I am not computer illiterate... I have an Associate Degree in Graphic Communications; I also have AADD and wonder if I am just overwhelmed by all the sections per page. Obviously, I don't have a lot of patience in spending a great deal of time accomplishing ONE task! There's got to be an easier solution!
