I adopted the motto "NO EXCUSES" to help keep me motivated. I even put it as the title of my spark page and on the home screen of my phone so that when I see it on a daily basis I am reminded of my goals.
Yesterday I felt like crap! My stomach was in so much pain because I ate a little too much fiber. Anyway, it was cramping like you wouldn't believe. I literally had to bend over slightly when I stood up because it hurt.
But you know what, I saw my motto and I started out on a 10 min walk. cuz let's face it, 10 minutes is better than nothing. I ended up walking for 30! Now, I may have taken 30 minutes to complete a mile, but I don't care, because I didn't give into my excuses. Go figure I started to feel better afterward if only because I knew I did something good for me.
Hopefully this will motivate someone else who struggles with making excuses like I do.
