I don't always drink beer, but when I do I make sure it something good. Stay thirsty my friends. I am the most interesting man in the world. And I try to track the calories for it too.

Sam Adams isn't bad, killians Irish Red, Yuengling, I make it worth my while

@KMCGILL: There a quite a few beers out there that have lower carbs than Miller Lite. The absolutely BEST low carb beer is Green's Trailblazer. It's completely gluten free, tastes great, has less than 1g carb in each beer and still packs a 4.7%abv.

Here's a list of some other low carb beers, but if you can find Green's Trailblazer - buy some. Or ask your nearest liquor store/grocery outlet to get some ordered. You can also order it from Green's website and have it shipped to you. I live in NE, and we carry Green's in our state. Hopefully your state does too.

Greens Trailblazer - 0.53 carbs
Budweiser Select 55 - 1.9
Rolling Rock Green Light 2.4
MGD 64 - 2.4
Molson Ultra - 2.5
Labatt Sterling - 2.5
Michelob Ultra - 2.6
Budweiser Select - 3.1
Miller Lite - 3.2

I prefer something like a Sam Adams or Molson but diabetes Type 2 I got to go with the lower carbs.

I found that Miller Lite has the next to fewer carbs (Michelobe Ultra) in any beer. That's what I drink mostly on weekends. Don't care for the taste of MU.

Weight loss/gain isn't a daily thing, it happens over weeks/months. For example, if you do go over your calories by 200-300 calories 2-3 days a week because you're enjoying a nice thick Porter or a Bavarian Wheat don't even sweat it.

Keep track of it though so you know where your at when the week ends. Eating isn't like sleep, you catch up on calories throughout the week, but don't make it an everyday thing. 300+ calories a day over your "limit" will lead to weight gain. It doesn't sound like your drinking 3-6 beers a day, so I wouldn't really sweat it if I were you.

I would rather have slower weight loss in the summer and be able to enjoy some Belgian Ales instead of not enjoying life. :)

3 Labatt Blue Lights have the same calories as 2 Labatt Blues

My beer intake is what puts me over my calorie count on the weekends. I make up for it during the week

Agree with TLCOVERT1. Track it, if its putting you over your calorie allotment, look for a reasonable substitution. When I was in a steep calorie deficit, I switched to rum and Coke Zero. But if it's not putting you over, enjoy a brew from time to time.

I'd keep track of it on the nutrition tracker like everything else.

Sure this has been discussed before but as i'm new here, i have a question for you regular beer drinkers.
What have you found is the best path in achieving your weight loss goals, while still enjoying some of your fav beverages? quit beer altogether? a beer here and there? wkend reward perhaps?
I'm curious to see what has worked for you guys out there who are like me and enjoy a tasy beer with dinner. I'm not a nightly drinker, but i enjoy my beer very much. I havent been intoxicated in years, i just simply enjoy a good beer. And with summer approaching in a few weeks, im open to some ideas or suggestion based on your experiences.
