I finally entered my first race, and though I was slow, I finished it! :-) I originally intended to run it, but because of an ankle injury awhile back that was very slow to heal, I just ended up walking it quickly. Still, I couldn't have done it when I weighed 50 pounds more than I do now, so I was psyched about it, and about the fact that my ankle held up very, very well! People at the race were so nice and supportive. I can't wait to do another one! I want to walk a half marathon this fall.
