Hi, Welcome to SP!! It's good to have you onboard with us!! And CONGRATULATIONS on the 2 pound loss! emoticon

Be sure to stay connected-sometimes it takes awhile to find out what works best for YOU!

As for the colas, I used to be hooked on them too. A fellow Sparker suggested green tea, and it took a long time to find one that I liked. I finally found Luzianne green tea & liked it, now it's pretty much all I drink.
Even hubby has started drinking it, which is a miracle :)

Your desire for the colas will go away. I found
club soda with some grapefruit juice is really good and provides me with the fizz that I missed the most!

Enjoy trying new things & your journey to a healthier YOU!!!

Best of luck to you!! Try to go to Diet soda and then cut them out totally. I used to drink 5 Diet Dr. Peppers a day or more until my doctor said that I should cut them out... I now drink decaf iced tea.

I started Sparkpeople on January 1 and have dropped over 20 lbs - I've found that tracking my food really opened my eyes to the foods that were full of calories. I really hope that you meet your goals!!

I've been out of college for almost 8 years now. I've been on a 10 lb a year gain since I graduated. Each year a higher percengtage of my day is spent sitting behind a desk staring at a computer. I just kept slowing down and being less active with each passing year. I have a 2 year old and a newborn and I want to be healthy and active for them. Our company is doing a biggest loser challenge...this is the 3rd year and every year I've said I'm going to win but then do absolutely nothing. I weighed in last Monday (3/4) at 263 lbs. After a week I've lost 2 lbs. Hope to have a 2-3 lb weightloss each week. My biggest enemy is soda. I've tried going cold turkey but that doesn't work because I get such a craving and then over do it. This time I am not cutting them out just cutting it down to just enough each day to kill the craving.

My ultimate goal is getting down to 200 lbs. However, my goal by the end of our company challenge is 30 lbs by June 3rd. I hope to be at 200 lbs by October 15th!
